Weir Girls RompThe Weir High Girls Softball team . slaughtered Mt. DeChantal yesterday, 28-6 making the Rider Girls 4-5 for the season.The game was called off in the fifth inning for the 10 run rule. Winning pitcher Sharon TruaxJudy Kowalik and Susan Koval had one triple apiece for j the Riders and Mary Beth Fodor • had a double.Jolynn Urbowicz led in singles with four, while Marcy Jonczak and Cindy VanHorn each had three. Two singles were hit by •Mary Bell. For, and Melanieand was relieved in the fourth inning by Sandy Bever who struck out none and gave up one walk. Eight hits were given up between them.Weir managed 22 hits off losing pitcher Burke .and relief pitcher Lofland. Burke gave up six walks and Lofland gave up five. No Riders were struck out.The Riders jumped out to a 12-0 lead in the first Inning, then look four in the second and four in the third, keeping Mt. DeChantal scoreless., Mt.
