New Paltzimarks fallNEW PALTZNew Paltz State smashed three school records and one track mark Tuesday in handing Siena College a 109-36 thumping in a non-conference track and field meet.The new track record was set in the 120-yard high hurdles by Ray Jackman, who won the event in 117 seconds. School records fell in the 100-yard dash, high jump and 440-yard relay.The 190-yard dash was won by Ken Cseplo of New Paltz in 9.7 seconds. The high jump was taken by Jim Manx with a leap of six feet, three and three-quarters inches. And the 44#-yard relay was won in 43.6 seconds by the Hawk team of Gd He taxman, Barry Bloomfield, Sidney Way and Cseplo.The triumph was New Paltz.’s seventh in nine meets this season. Siena, which won only three first-place awards, is now 1-4.New Paltz had four double winners.
