Famous Pole Vaulters to Compete Herey _ *Less than one foot lower than the height which won the pole vault at the 1924 Olympic games is the record of Jack Boyles, University of Iowa and Frout, Michigan, These men tied at this height in a recent dual meet and their record is the best hung op by a Big Ten athlete this season.Both men, along with Northrop of Michigan, Barnes and White of Illinois, “12-6” performers, will make their bids for a new conference record at the title meet at Iowa City, May 28th and 29 th. Brownell of Illinois scaled 13 feet 2' inches in 1923 for the present record.
