Wardiaw blasts Bowman in baseball playoffs 24-2JOHNSTON — Wardiaw Academy exploded for 14 runs in the second inning and went on to crush Bowman Academy 24-2 Monday in the first round of the South Carolina Independent School Association Class A baseball playoffs.Webb Berry, Robert Newman, winning pitcher Josh Herlong and Ranee Bryan all homered for the Patriots (18-3).Bryan and Herlong drove in four runs each, while Berry and Newman knocked in three runs apiece.
