He fired a score of 373 out of a possible 400. Running a really strong second and receiving theAggies are reprimandedTexas AM University sports officials received the NCAA’s one-year probation with some relief last Monday saying they were glad the investigation was resolved.The NCAA imposed a one-year probation on the school for infractions in its basketball program. There were no sanctions attached to the probation, meaning Texas AM could still participate in an NCAA post season playoff and appear on television.The Southwest Conference already had placed a one-year suspension on the two players involved, Karl Godine and Jarvis Williams.The school was ordered by the NCAA to sever all relations, formal and informal, “with certain representatives of the university’srunner-up trophy was Arvel, who shot 341. Rackley of Luling, using his slingshot, and Trooper Sramek, using his pistol, was won by Rackley, 2-0 in a quick draw and shoot contest.Tournament Chairman Andy Armstrong was assisted by James Butler and Jimmie Weaver. Mrs. Rackley and Mrs. Martha Condry were scorekeepers for the tournament which is sponsored annually by the Dimmit County Chamber of Commerce.
