FOLSOM — The Folsom High baseball team shut out Golden Sierra 5-0, but it took all the effort the Bulldogs could muster as the game was a lot closer than the score indicates.“We played pretty good defensive baseball today,” said Golden Sierra Coach Mark Hendrix in reference to his team committing only one error on the day. “We hit the ball pretty well, we just couldn’t get a run home.”The Grizzlies did indeed threaten in every inning except the sixth, but just couldn’t seem to get a runner behind second base.• Defensively, pitcher Mike Cameron and his friends, held the Bulldogs in check through the first three games but in the fourth, a lead-off walk, an infield hit, a sacrifice and Golden Sierra’s lone error of the day, resulted in all the runs the Folsom nine would need. The Bulldogs chased Cameron in the fifth. Wjth the bases loaded and no one but Brian Thomas took over. Two more runs scored and Folsom added another in the sixth.Grizzly catcher Phil Seabury went 2-for-3 at the plate.
