LAYOUT FOR NEW GOLF COURSE—'This Is thearchitect's layout for. the new public golf course to be constructed on the former Albert Franklin farm on the Sawyer Road 4£ miles north of here. Course will be built with money from the pnvatelv-endowed Civic Improvement Trust Fund, trustees of the fund have awarded a contract to C. D, Wagstaff Co.* Glenview, 111., for the design and construction ot the course. Work on the new recreational facility is to get underway before June 1 and should be completed by September. Plans call for the course to be ready for play next summer. The 18-hole grass green course w ulhave a maximum distance of 8.500 yards. The layoutwill include a practice green and a practice fairway. Shaded area around three sides of the fifth green is #» lagoon. Another lagoon is just off the tenth tee nctuP the clubhouse. North on this layout it to Ifca light(Story on Page 5)
