Previously, Natick had finished runner-up to Concord in the invitation Patriots’ Day meetBut, on that occasion Natick didn’t have Teddy Piers, lt;Ray Ames and between theqe twp 15 points were scored in the 220, broad jump and pitfe. Piers Won both the broad jump and 220 though given a battle by Dick Rypn in the latter event. Amejs won the mUe, beating tefunma^e Ivan Enstirq^n \vho wpn here the 19th.Natick won the meet .by taking five first places and tying for qnother, the high jump, Jack Howard deadlocking with wip Puffer of Concord for first ^t the heighth of five feet, .si^t inches.Piers was high scorer, thqi^gh Ryan, who capped the 100 froth the teammate Lyle Carlson, another sophomore, scored eight points. Carlspn scored live and one-fourth points as in addition to his stint in the 100, cqme in third in the broad jump with 0 leap of 18 feet and 11 inches,while running the first leg of the I relay.
