Earth DayTOWNSEND - The third annual Earth Day, sponsoredby the Congregational Church, featured three running races: a 1.5 mile race for juniors, a five-mile race for male seniors, and a female race.Participants in the junior race and thpir times were: Debbie Sornmerville, 11:20, Chris Kinney, 11:12; Chick Conry, 11:35; Todd Moorr, 12:05; Karen Gulliver. 12:11; Cynthia Ryder. 12:33; Steve Nordlinger, 14:13; Bonnie Barrett, 15:21, and Brenda Barrett, 15:10.In the senior male run, Rick Smith captured first with 16:16. 01 he- contestants and theirtimes were: Mike Conry, 26:28; Chet Fortier, 26:53; Thomas Bonne. 26:58: Mark Valera.17-17; Dave Duval, 27:41, Bill Clark, 2H:09.
