Swimmers to be honoredSylvie Fortier, Canada’s top synchronized swimmer, and the 1976 Quebec Clly YWCA syncronized swimming team wilt be inducted into the Aquatic Hall of Fame May 11, Fortier's list of accomplishments includes the 1976 world1 championship, two silver medals at the 1974 Pan-Am Games, silver medals in the world championships in Call, Colombia, in 1975, gold medals fn both solo and team events at the Scandanavian Open in Sweden in 1976 and a gold in the Pan Pacific Games in Japan in 1977.Fortier is not only a championship swimmer, but also a fine runner and was one of the torch bearers at the opening of the Montreal Olympics in 1976.
