He is expected to compete in both ihe three-mile and six-mile runs Illinois can be expected to dominate the field events due to All-American Charlton Ehizuelen and Mike Baietto. Fhizuelen. the defending NCAA University Division triple Jump champ, has leaped 53-11 this spring He also has a 27-4 in the long Jump, which Is the state’s bestBaietto. a weight man. has thrown the discus 17*-9 and the shot put JM'i He is the defending meet champion in both events.Carbondalr's strength lies mthe sprints. The Salukis have four 9.5 sprinters, led by Mike Monroe who also has a 21.1 time in the 220.
