Ball Season Opens Sunday.The BatesvUle Base Ball Club has organized for the season of 1912 with P. J. Morgan, as president, and John Wernke, manager and captain-This announcement, we are sure, will be welcome news to all baseball lovers tn our lit.tie city, for it is a well-known fact that BatesvUle has a large number of enthusiastic fan*, who find no greater pleasure than to bask in the rays of the hot summer sun to root for their favorite on the team.The ooenJng game of ihe season will be played next Sunday* May 12, with the Cincys, of Cincinnati, a* the opposing team. The game will be called at 2:30 p. m. with the following line-up: H. Wolfe, pitcher; Virgil MInning, catcher: 1st bas*, John Wernke: 2nd base, Otto Pritscfo; 3rd base, Mat Weigel; shortstop, Grover Beoz, left-field, Alvadore Beck; Center field, Florence Weigel; rigbt-field, Henry Kops,With Mr. Morgan, as president, and Mr. Wernke as manager, Bates ville is sure to have good, clean games throughout the reason.By noticing the list of members of the team, there is no doubt of the president and manager having strong support, without which no team ca.i succeed.Since Batesviiie has so many lovers of the game, we trust that they too will give the president, manager and and team their kindiy support byVattending the games without which the organization must be a failure.Be sure to attend the opening game next Sunday.
