The ! games will be played at Query’s park j at Falrhaven, and on the Fort Rodman grounds.Manager Doe has released three of His players this week, Ford, Cloorin and Connolly, the former an outfielder the two latter pitchers. Doe had eight pitchers on his list, not including Kehoe, who is developing marked ability as a third baseman. He accordingly released the two pitchers who seemed to him in the poorest form. There are now live pitchers on whom manager Doe depends, Josslyn. Friend, Day, Staokpole and Blatchford. The first four are men of experience. Josslyn and Day are prepared for work now, and Friend Is expected to be in form before the season is over. Stackpole is anxious to play here and Doe will keep him for the present, although he has been offered 1300 for him. Blatchford has speed and is expected to develop into a good pitcher. As for Ford, he was a promising player in the field, but his batting was not satisfactory. The New Bedfords carried 14 men on their trip this week.
