Palmer donated teams and wagons and a fine circular roadway was built around the grounds. Concrete, steei rfrenforced traps were constructed, a club house with seats aud other conveniences were const fueled, and here the regular shoots of the Gun Club were had and semiannually, spring and frail, contests were held which attracted to Logacs-port a hundred or more sportsmen from all parts of the United States, the Logansport. Gun Club grounds being considered one of the best in the country.Now this Is what lias happpened. according to the report of the officers: During the winter the city administration has used this leased ground of the Logan sport Gun Club for a common dumping ground, and now the place is burled under tin cans rubbish and general debris dumped there by the city. The grounds nre destroyed and the improvements made by the Gun Club are a thing of the post as far as any pi’aclical use is concerned. Dr. Ktngery. treasurer of the dub, declares this was done without the knowledge cr consent of the Chib;- The semi-annual spring and fall tournaments which wcrfc'to have been hold have been cancelled on account of the destruction of grounds.This is the situation as stated by the officers, and the action of the city in this invading leased grounds and damaging property of the club is considered absolutely unwarranted a violation or personal rights of tho club and its members.:
