Patricia Lawson named sports body chairmanOTTAWA (CP) — Patricia Lawson, physical education professor at the University of Saskatchewan, has been appointed chairman of the National Advisory Council on ‘ Fitness and Amateur Sport, Sport Minister Iona Cam-pagnolo announced Friday. 'Four new members have been appointed to the council, which advises the federal government on sport policy. They are Jean Bardsley, Vancouver; Beverly Christensen, Prince George, B.C.; Percy Haynes, Winnipeg; and Claude Mailhot, St. Laurent, Que.Elizabeth Baxter of Brooks, Alta.; Bosanne Laflamme of Quebec City; and Guy Suxor of Shawlnigan, Que. were re-appointed to the council.
