(UP1 —The Oakland Oaks overwhelmed (he Indiana Pacers Monday night, 144-117, to take a [ commanding 3-1 lead in (he Ameirican Basketball Association's final playoff series.The Western Division champion Oaks can wrap up the' league title with a victory over the Eastern Division titlist at Oakland Wednesday night.The Oaks, led by Warren Armstrong’s 30 points, were in front at every stop and built up a 30-point cushion in the third period at 108-78. Oakland outscored the Pacers in the third stanza by 20 points, 41-21. and it was no contest the rest of the way. The Pacers made a game of it in the first eight minutes when the lead changed hands seven times and the score was tied once.
