Jim Taylor and Tom Wilson, of Indianaplie and Nashville, respectively, were also there.Afree* To Finance TeamAfter a prolonged conference which terminated at four o’clock Monday morning, Blount agreed to place a team in the league with Bingo DeMoaa as manager.He immediately began making preparations for bringing boll players from their homes to begin the short practice session before the league season opened.DeMoss, who was in Chicago, rushed back to Detroit, arriving here Tuesday. Shortly after his arrival, he held a conference with Blount in the latter’* office.Following the conference with DeMoss, Blount held another conference witr Rnesink, and it was after this conference that Blount announced that he would not finance a team in the league.With this announcement Do-Mus* returned to his home in Chicago where he is trying to secure financial backing from John Big ( Six’* Smith, former noted Chicago detective, who had stated that he was willing I., finance the team before the meeting last -week. -Blount would not make any ati-- nouncement concerning his retui*-r n\ to finance the team. And as he did not have ffie I right to use the name, there wa*n possible chance of a suit being filed if the season was a success.While Blount did not make the statement, one close to him declared that the park situation was primarily the reason the former magnate refused the team after giving his word. Blount had been given a percentage of the conce*-eions by Roeaink, but according to this person, he was warned to avoid any contracts on the park.
