WIN FAME IN COLLEGEOak Park Athletes, Formerly of High* . *School, Win Prominent Placesin Spring EventsFour Oak Park boys were prominent in athletic victories on one day—Harry and William Goelitz, John Phelps andBerry Cantwell won distinction in college circles.William Goelitz, a junior at the University of Illinois, was a member of theiIllinois twa-mile relay team that won first place in a tight finish from University of Michigan in the national university relay race at the Pennsylvania relay carnival. He was the first runner of his quartet and finished second in the group of men that ran the first half-mile. Western athletes were prominent in nearly every event.His younger brother, assisted by Berry Cantwell, won first place for Kee-wain school in a big interscholastic track meet at Lexingtcjn, Va. Goelitz won five firsts and one second.John Phelps, formerly captain of.Oak Park high baseball team, is captain and left fielder of the Illinois varsity baseball team, ,which opened its conference schedule with a victory over Minnesota.
