Marshall nets 6-1win over’CatsScott Hodoval was the only Marshall netter to have any difficulty in the Redskins’ 6-1 victory over Albion Monday.Hodoval, named Marshall Exchange Club’s Student of the Year earlier in the day, lost to Jeff Foust, 7-5, 7-6. The senior dropped the second set by a 7-4 tiebreaker.From there the match was all Marshall, starting with Jeff Filbrandt’s 6-0, 6-0 victory over Ken Grob. Rick Weaver defeated Matt Tuohy, 6-1, 6-4, and Greg Taylor dusted off Scott Jones, 6-3, 6-1.1In doubles, Terry Clutter and Francie Russell won, 6-4, 6-2. Duncan Conley and Mark Haslem took a 6-1, 6-3 victory. Bill Mack and Dieter Hunter wrapped it winning 6-2, 6-4The victory improved Marshall’s Twin Valley record to 5-1. Coach Paul Rauth’s team is 7-2 overall. Their next match is home today against Harper Creek.In exhibition play, Marshall’s Chris Quada won a singles match and Redskins Jeff Wiess and Dave Tuck won in doubles.
