ItolxTson W ins Pacemakers* Tropliv In (liistom-Car PunWillard Roberson of 2125 Carolina St. scored a sizzling 9942 points out of a possible l.(KM) yesterday to win the Sullivan Trophy, first prize in the first Reliability Run of the Middletown Pacemakers, organization of local custom car enthusiasts,Roberson turned in the surprising score in the course run, which began at il a.m. Sunday at Le-Sourdsville Lake. Pacemaker President Harold Michael said that i Roberson came closer to the 1.000-pomt-timcalculation than anyone dreamed a driver would.Twenty-eight cars piloted by drivers from Middletown. Cincinnati, Dayton and other MiamiValiev communities, were entered in the competition — not a race, but a test of driving skill and automobile condition.Tilt KI N COURSE: was laidout by making three master trips over the route, each timed to the split second to calculate the 1.000-l*int perfect time. Members of the Dial Radio Club, in wireless-equipped cars, were stationed along the route to record the times.Another Middletonian.
