It has been fully organizedwith the following corps of€1officers:iPresident and Manager—J. W. 11 Barnes.Vice-President—Frank D Miller ]Secretary—Harry Draper. (Treasurer—Geo. W. Duke.These officers, together with]P. Draper and D. L. Duke will constitute the board of directors. Theconcern will be capitalized at *32,-000 and the work of erecting thebuilding will begin just as soon asplans can be procured and thecontract let. The building will bepatterned after the coliseum inRichmond, Indiana, and possiblyan exact duplicate of the plans ofthat structure will be followed.The building will be of brick andstone and the walls will be full twostories high. There will be a removable stage, dressing rooms, reception rooms and a restaurant inconnection. Another feature willalso be tub and shower baths forthe accommodation of the athleteswho take part in the polo contestsor other strenuous games that maybe held in the building. Therewill be three entrances in tront andtnergency exists will be providedl the east side and rear. Thefront will be ornamental, theprincipal feature being the word“Alhambra” in large gold lettersin the most conspicuous part.The promoters of the polo league7want the people of Kokomo toI j understand that the game isthoroughly genteel. No player isallowed to touch another and theJ •erouirh and tumble of foot ball iseentirely eliminated. It is claimed, that the game is as absorbing and j. exciting as baseball and in citieswhere it has been in vogue for theef past few seasons it is liberallyepatronized by the very best people,in Richmond and some other cities,the clergy being frequently represented in the audiences.
