The linksmcn have taken 11 of 12 matches, the lone loss by one stroke to Middletown.Last year's group won 16 of 17 matches, so winning is nothing n'.w for the Tigers. Bo Powers, who amazed the local sports RcejK in 1970 by capturing the city junior championships and the senior title back to back. He averages 37 and has been medalist in every match but one.Powers’ best were a three under 33 at Twin Run. home course for the Tigers, and a two-under 35 at Winton Woods.Averaging in the 40s are Neal Hitchcock and Scott Carmack. Hitchcock won the 1970 Junior State Jaycoe.s title. Other mem bers of the squad and their averages are Denny Rost (41), Frank Johnson (40), Steve Bruck (42) and Tom Hamilton.Last spring the Tigers. Greater Miami Conference kings, failed tc qualify at the sectional tournament. They hope to change things at Miami Whitew'ater Course May 12 at the W2 sectional.
