Freshman Dave Kuhn scattered seven Juts to post the Gobbler victory’- The Tech attack included doubles by Kuhn and Leo ' Burke and triples by Burke and Howie Wright.An outfield error ruined Ray Chapman’s four-hit pitching and led to Emory and Henry's downfall. With the score tied at 1-1 in the sixth inning, a Lincoln Memorial single got away and the visitors’ Bill Gilbert circled the bases with the winning run. The Wasps got only three safeties.Richmond was out of the game wit* G\v as early as the second ini when the Colonials scored seven times. Spider starter John Davenport walked five men and the Spiders tossed an error into the proceedings. The Spiders collected seven scattered hits.VM( blew an B-0 lead and committed nine errors before coming up with two runs in the eighth inning to sneak past West Virginia Tech.
