MEET HOUSE OF DAVIDInvaders’ .Victories Over Major League Clubs in Training Stamp Them StrongInto battle on Friday night on their home lot, the Charleston Senators will go against one of the most outstanding exhibition ball clubs of the country, the original House of David Longbeards, boasting some of the best performers of the national pastime in the country.Opposition of caliber between minor and major league class baseball willbe offered by these gentlemen of the bearded faces, who during spring training camp exhibition games recently turned back such clubs as the St. Louis Browns 1-0, Connie Mack's Philadelphia Athletics 10-7. They also split even in a 2-game series with the present American association league leader, the Minneapolis Millers and took down the Baltimore Orioles in easy style.It can easily be seen by these results that the Longbeards have really bound together this year a great team, headed by the crack twirling of Jane-sko and Matt Ramsey, Mike Janesko held the St. Louis Browns to two bare hits in his defeat of the major league outfit during spring training in the South. Other hurlers with the House of David club are Swaney and Bennett.Oldest LongbeardThis season Getz is holding down third for the Longbeards. Woods on first, Catina in short. Stravecas second.
