Thinks Fighter Not In Earnest,That much, talked of match between Philadelphia Jack O’Brien and Kid McCoy wears all the »earmarks of a clever advertising scheme. In the first place, McCoy could not make the middle-weight limit and fight one round. In the second place,; the supposed quarrel between the pair, following the Ryan-O’Brien contest at Philadelphia, was evidently prearranged to gull the public into believing that they were enemies and willing to scrap at the drop of the hat. Behind it all lay the hope of a fake battle and- the consequent financial harvest.—Chicago Inter Ocean.
