The Masters' World of Kung Fu and Karate — not just an elongated exercise of karate experts flipping opponents and putting their hands through blocks of cement — comes to Anderson College Friday.The second scheduled event in the annual May Festival celebration, the exhibition is set for 8 p m in Lewis Gym.The exhibition is a highly polished, beautifully paced display of the combined talents of five masters of various styles, several of their most outstanding students and impressive demonstrations.Highlights of the show will be the dramatic demonstration of self defense by Korean war veteran Ted Vollrath. who lost both legs in that conflict Holder of a firstdegree Black Belt. Vollrath has held audien ces across the nation spellbound with his performance.Daniel Kane Pai, billed as the “man with the iron palm, has developed an astounding closing feat of breaking 600 pounds of ice with his bare hand Pai. who began his study of Kung Fu at age five, has devoted his entire life to the martial arts. In addition to his rank of Grandmaster in Kung Fu. Pai has earned Black Belts in other martial arts including Kendo, Aikido.
