Don Wilson Again Smashes School Record In Shot PutBy Darryl SlaterOn April 18 W.M.A. romped over Lutheran South’s track team, 74-44, in an A.B.C. League meet.Don Wilson again smashed his own Western record in the shot put with a heave of 53 ft., 8 in. Bill Kaune was also outstanding with firsts in three events, the 100, 220, and 400 dashes.Avenatti was a double winner in the high jump and broad jump. Freeman, Marrs, Niemann, and the 880 relayteam also took firsts. Western swept the 100 and the 220, and took ten first places.
