Lukes led during I he first 880 but Henry went ahead at the half way mark and sped on for a new.mark of 4:44.7. The old mark was 4:45.8 set by Ernie Brannon of Sequim in 1954. EXHIBITION RACES Two exhibition r.aces featured the meet. Bob Dellinger of i h e Neah Bay air force rambled over the mile course in 4:17. Jack Le Touvneau, University of Washington ace, toured an 880 in 1:58,2. Both marks set new track records for Civic Field.Port Angeles placed first In ten of the 14 events. Forks captured three first and Neah Bay one, Frank Smiley, Ricky Hull and Bob Henry were the Spartan winners while Ron Johnson, versatile Red Devil athlete placed first in the broad jump for a Neah Bay five.First three in the running and the first four in the field qualify for the sub-district meet scheduled for Port Orchard next Friday.
