FINAL BASKETBALL 1RECORDS COMPILED !3624 TOTAL POINTS MADE IN 156 GAMES PLAYEDDURING SEASONBy BERKY1 The totals of the Key West Junior High School basketball tourney have just been posted by Coach John Offutt. Great interest was shown in the 156-game series by the boys, many playing as probable “Varsity material for next year. The “Varsity will .lose half of its member* next year, so these Junior High boys will get a chance to show what they can do.When totaling up the points of every player in the league. Coach Offutt found that 65 of the 79 league players had made one point or more. Outstanding team honors go to the “Menendez Dark Horses with 300 field goals and a total pointage of 633. Cleanest team honors go to “Schoneck Stars' with only 81 personal fouls in 14 games.Outstanding player of the tourney was Jack Villareal with 292 points.
