And there is still more pro-1 gress coming in a buildng way. Two residences are starting on the Building and Loan block in West End and carpenters- and workmen are busy as bees; Then there .is the work that is in preparation ; for the improvement. of Hogan JT’ield recently dedicated to the public school by the heirs of the late, loved Dr. J. C. Rogan, pioneer builder of San Saba. Few of our people have yet realized what a great thing this gift is to the present and future of the town and county. It is by odds the biggest and the most fitting thing that has ever been done for the progress and future welfare of the community. Such benefactions come to few? towns and communities. And, as so often in such instances, it is hard for the present generation to realize its full meaning and significance. Future generations will rise up to bless the name of Kogan and the public spirited souls who did so much for the welfare of the youth, the boys and girls if you please, of the community for ages to come. Henceforth “Rogan Field'’ will be the pride of San Saba.s-o-g
