ROOKIE TO OPEN FOR SENATORSKleskie* or King to Get Call Friday Niglit Against BeardsM.ipt.t j ,ii. ,J«ir y -1* n r i-'r-lEither young Kleskie. the Shomoa-ken fire-ball artist and rookie hurler for the Senators, or Carl King will get the call for the opening box assignment here on Friday night in Kanawha park when the Middle Atlantic league Senators of Charleston take their first baptism of fire under electric lights-, meeting the Longbeards of the House of David club.These two rookie hurlers did not see service in the club’s one and only other exhibition tilt, which was played and lost to the Knights in Berkley last Sunday afternoon 3-0.Officials of the city M-A entry have high hopes for both of these boys, especially Kleskie, who has been showing strong in practice.The game Friday night will start at 8 p. m. and will be followed by an exhibition tilt here on Saturday afternoon with Huntington and a return game with the Red Birds in Huntington on Sunday afternoon.Manager Charlie Neibergall has been working the Senator squad twice daily this week.
