McShain Wins OverRaborn InBilly Raborn fell short in his bid for the world’s junior heavyweight wrestling crown, but he put up a stiff battle before bowing to title-holder Danny McShain in Wednesday’s main event at Jamboree Hall.Raborn, the Texas champ, put up a brilliant battle and won the first fall in 23 minutes with a series of dropkicks. But McShain, with the odds against him, rallied to win the next two falls.He evened things up in seven minutes with his new pin, the Atomic drop. And 10 minutes later he smashed Raborn with the same hold to win the fall and walk out of the ring with the world's championship belt still in his possession.The semifinal saw a newcomer enter the local wrestling picture. The Masked Marvel, who caused such a sensation in Abilene earlier in the week, made his first appearance a memorable one by stopping young Tommy Martindale in two straight falls.The Marvel won the first fall in 12 minutes with an arm lock and elbow stomp. He held the upper hand most of the way before garnering his second fall. Four times he tossed Martindale to the canvas with a backbreaker, only to pick the young grappler up at the count of two and pour on more punishment.The Masked Marvel finally decided he had had enough and pinned Martindale with a backbreaker. The official time was 22 minutes.And the first event saw an enraged Tony Morelli defeat Johnny Pavich in 12 minutes. Morelli, who was ripping up everyone in sight here a month ago, started skidding downhill with several defeats be-, ing pinned upon him.Promoter Sled Allen put the “Bull of the Pecos” on Wednesday’s cardFeaturefor the preliminary match. It was a blow to Morelli's pride and he showed Allen and the fans that he wants a better billing in the future.Morelli, who recently won the Southwestern junior heavyweight crown from Dory Funk, dumped Pavich with a face lock and neck twist in 12 minutes of the scheduled 20-minute or one-fall match.
