Dawn Matte with a 92 led the Clark Lady Cougars to first place at the halfway mark. Clark had 384 team strokes on the 18-hole first round scores ofMatte, Mary Macias at 98. Stephanie Paul at 98 and Laura Richter with an evenlW- Clark 8 fifth (■laver Vickie Goniales, carded 115 strokes.Del Rio's Queens had a team total °°*«3 *r°k g as the halfway runnerup. Behind Steffey s M came Kay Zorn with 108, Jennifer Dean with 108 and Shannon Hopkins with 133.Marshall was third with 515 strokes as Naomi Castillo carded 107 behind second medalist Harden and Anette Castillo's 123.
