He immediately sparked the Wingfoots on a 16-point spree in eight minutes, connecting on four jumpers during that stretch. Correl also was the dominating force under th» backboards with 12 rebounds.The Wingfoots raced to a 31-22 lead at intermission and boosted their margin to as many as 18 points in the second half. It marked the second straight year that the 11-time champion Oilers have finished second, losing tho 1966 final to the Ford Mustangs.Phillips guard Harold Sargent, who went into the game with a 56 per cent shooting average for the tournament and who was voted most valuable player of tha competition, was held to six points Thursday night by Cal Fowler.In the consolation game, Denver's Capitol Federal Savings beat the Jamaco Saints of Chicago 93-83.
