Golden Gloves boxing tourney remained in the running in the Southwest Golden Gloves tournament at Albuquerque after the smoke of the second round battles cleared away today.Last night’s battles saw two Clovis tourney favorites fall by the wayside when Buddy Delgado, Las Vegas, outpointed Abel Lujan, Roswell, in the featherweight division, and Frank Livingston, New Mexico University, outpointed Bud Southern, Melrose middleweight.Higgins Is Winner Frankie Higgins, Las Vegas, who was eliminated in the finals of the Clovis tourney, established himself as a candidate for the bantamweight class, when he knocked out Santos Corriz, Madrid, in 1 minute and 50 seconds.Besides Delgado, w 1 io won the Class A championship in the featherweight division here, other candidates for championships from the Clovis crop include Martin Sando, bantamweight; Leroy Davis, heavyweight; Darrell White, lightweight, Jimmy Faust, Littlefield, lightweight.Finals Are TonightALBUQUERQUE, N.
