Wrestling Awards GivenThe Hazel Crest park district Junior Hawks Wrestling team’s season closed with an awards banquet.The featured banquet speaker was Fred Jacobeit, athletic director of Bloom high school.Highlighting the evening was the presentation of awards.John McGlone, president of the Hazel' Crest park district board of commissioners, will be the guest speaker at 8 p.m. today when the Hazel Crest Jaycees meet in the village hall, 170th street and Jodave avenue.Among items to be discussed tonight are the Candlelight bowl scheduled for 9:30 p.m. to2:30 a.m. at the Country Club Hills bowling alley on April 5, the Second Annual Youth Decathlon Track and Field event for boys and girls between the ages of nine and 14 scheduled for June 21 at Hillcest high school and the Inflation Fighter coupon book.Special awards were presented to threeAMONG THE special awards was rookie of the year to Mike Ermler, most improved wrestler to Maurice Leahy, most pins to John Papas and outstanding wrestler to Tony Pellegrini.First or junior varsity participatory awards were received by Mike Jackson, Tim Jackson, Tom Jackson, Jose Soto,Hazel Crest Jaycees during tne February meeting.RECEIVING THE Distinguished Service award for community service were Ken Lindberg, executive vice president, and John Blazevich, personnel director.John Ray was presented with the Executive Board award for outstanding community and chapter service during 1974.
