Drealan Leads Kilroy's Into Stone Age FinalsVERNON — Sparked by a superlative effort from its reserves and by outstanding performances from starters Jim Drealan and Randy Smith, Kilroy’s Spirit Shop smashed Willowbrook Apartments, 85-67, to advance to the championship series in the Stone Age A Division basketball league.Drealan seared the nets for 32 points, continuing to show why he's been the league's leading scorer for two years, and Smith, running the attack, accumulated the nearlv unbelievable total of 23 assists — by actual count.The semifinal victory, coupled with Kilroy’s quarter-final win earlier in the week over the Tramps, puts the defendingchampions against favored AJ’sPackage store tonight at 8:30 at the Vernon Center Middle School. AJ’s defeated Kilroy’s three times during the regular season.Kilroy’s led by just one point,18-17, after one period iast night, and increased the margin *o 57-51 after three periods. In the fourth period, Kilroy’s exploded for 28 points as Drealan canned 15 and the reserves scored heavily.John Shenk scored 12 for Kilrov's and Fred Setzler hit for 11, while Bob Fisher scored 10. For Willowbrook, Wally Wilson played an excellent game and scored 17 points. Rod Davis chipped in with 11 and Bill Mavnes netted 10.
