A HINT TO COUNCILe-•d i Editor Journald j I as one pf the many baseball fans in the city of Aiken I have readwith much interest the announce-ittIir ment of the donation by the y council of two thousand dollars for d | the clearing of tvrti Polo fields, but a I not one red cent for the repairing of e i Eustis Park. Polo benefits only a few, Baseball many hundreds. Of course polo is a drawing card for the uplift of Aiken in the spring, but in the summer baseball is the only amusement to be had in Aiken. Could not the city council while it is making donations make one for the repair of Eustis Park? It is cityproperty as well as the polo fields. The ball park is badly in need of repairs. It will mean a lot to the people of Aiken. Come on boys let’s start something.A BASEBALL FAN.
