Hawley won six and lost six with Winston-Salesm, pitching 117 innings, and allowing 130hits. He fanned 63 batters, and issued 60 free passes. His batting average was 280, and it was because of his hitting ability thatLast year at St. Joseph he pitched in 13 games, winning three and losing three. Howard pitched 59 innings, allowing 56 hits, striking out 16, but walking 75 men. At Lawrenceville Abendschein appeared in 18 games, pitching 77 innings, allowing 81 hits, and striking out 26 men. He had a won and lost record of 2-7.
