Indians Will Hold Baseball School HereThe Cleveland Indians will hold a baseball school at Lincoln park field June 10 to 12 inclusive, it was- announced today by . Elwood Kammer, director -of the Massillon recreation department.The school will be open to young baseball players of Massillon and vicinity, Kammer said.Cpming here to direct the school will be William (Bill) Bradley, one of Cleveland's- baseball ‘greats/ Laddie Placek and ‘Gyp’ Lewis.Final arrangements for the school were completed by Rammer late Wednesday. For a number of weeks Kammer has asked the Indian management to conduct a school here to teach the fine points of the game to; boys inter* csted in baseball. •Kammer said the school will differ from the tryout camps conducted here in other years by the St. Louis Cardinals in that ths Indians will primarily devote their efforts to teaching instead of trying to obtain talent for their farm, system as did the Cardinals.Kammer said he has the assurance of Clarence Bulloch, city park superintendent* that the Lincoln ' park field will be in excellent condition for the school.
