Local mashers did very well at the March 12 and 13 Northwest Sled Dog Derby pt Cabin Creek Overpass. Entrees from Oregon and Montana swelled the competition and weather cooperated to make a very satisfying derby, especially for those founders of the NWSDA, RUBY and RAY THOMPSON of Martha Lake.Winning first place in the B Division Race was BILL CHAMBERS of Cascadian Way, and second place was taken by LINDA S1NRUD THANK of Snohomish, daughter of DOUG and FRANCES SINRUD of Martha Lake and granddaughter of the Thompsons.
