David Spooner overtook the highly-rated Rex Good-wine on the anchor leg of the sprint relay for the 20 - point victory in 43.8 seconds.Vela gathered his 28 point by being a member of both winning relay teams, with a first -place finish in the quarter mile,and a second place in the broadjump. Il was his first competitive 440 of the season, and he took a close victory in 51.5 seconds. He leaped a surprising 21 feet 2a4 inches in the broad jump for second.Spooner took his 18 individual points in the relay events and asecond place finish in the 100-yard dash in 10.3 seconds.Pickens continued his title winning in the pole vault by clearing 11 feet 6 inches. Benedict took third oin the valut with 10 feet nine inches.The Antler mile relay team of Scott Parker, Jimmy Bill, Spooner, and Vela posted their best time of the year with a 3:28.9. It was the third straight mile team victory for the Antlers.Bill ran his best 880 of the year to capture second at New Braunfels in 2:02.3. Bobby Pes-chel took sixth in 2:04.8.
