Kirk, two of the best and most enterprising citizens of Hosmer, were in the city Monday and business callers on the Democrat. Thesetwo gentlemen are very enthusiastic over the bright prospeots of a healthy boom for th~ir town this spring, summer and fall. A few days ago a D8W addition con taining fifty lots was addvd to the town, eevoral lots already sold and work on a number of new buildings will be commenced as soon as theweather will permit, in the new Coleman addition. Last year Hos mer had one of the best country base ball clubs in southern Indiana, and this year will have a stronger team and not only that, the boys have secured ground and will playin their own park, with an amphitheater with a seating capacity of 700 persons. Another feature that will be a boom to Hosmer and vioinity within itself is the greatly increased output of coal. Hosmer people are wide awake to their op portunities and will fully do their part. Hats off to Hosmer.have a a good track team again this year and from the looks of the material we all agree.There is a movement to form a- **debating society in the high school. A membership committee and a committee on the constitution and by-laws have been appointed.Parent-Teacher Program.The Parent Teacher Meeting will be held next Tuesday evening, March 27th, in the gymnasium uI the high soaool building, begin ning at 7:15 n. m.
