Pyle, J23, and Harold Kaiser, ’24, Will Begin First Lapof Their 28,000-Mile Journey Friday atr Midnight.Determined to cheer Indiana’s base-*ball nine during its invasion of the Orient, two Indiana students, with rather flat purses but plenty of pluck, noday will withdraw from the University to begin the first lap of their 28,000-mile journey Friday at midnight. They are Ernest T. Pyle, ’24, news editor of The Daily Student, andHarold Kaiser, ’24, ex-candidate ±orberth of varsity catcher.The two globe-trotters will go to Seattle in advance of the team in order to find work aboard the S. S. Keystone, on which the delegation of 13 vars*ty players and four others will make the trip to the land of the cherry blossom's. Pyle, with a year’s experience in the U. S. navy, andKaiser are confident of finding workon the ship. They made applicationfor passports yesterday, and in event the documents fail to arrive at Seattle before the ship sails, they plan to take passage on the next boat for the far east.May Travel Steerage.If ship work Is unobtainable, the two students declare they wdl travel steerage.
