Louis shines best in comic recitations, and from the first he took with the audience. John Meinsinger, who appeared as a colored comedian, was also exceptionally good. Mr. Meinsinger first gave a humorous mimic of a darkey driving a mule and again appeared on the program as a colored preacher, delivering the “Alphabetical Sermon,” which was most amusing.Accompanying the students is a first class orchestra, which rendered several selections during the course of the entertuinmont. Miss Fern Kvans, leader of the orchestra, also gave a violin solo which called forth loud applause, while Louis Snell, another member, played a cornet solo which was well received. The feature of the entertainment was, of course, the Indiau girls who will appear at St. Louis. Nine of them first appeared iu the pantomime, “Paradise and Peri,” and again in the concert recitation of “The Famine,” from “Hiawatha.” in the latter selection the girls were all dressed iu beautiful Indiau costumes, which made a decided hit. Later the girls appeared iu Iudiuu club and bur bell drills, with musical accompaniment. The Iudiuu club swinging was pur-ticulary fine, the girls, in addition to giving the regular movemouts, executing some new ones which were the marvel of the audience.
