Connolly is now a student at Harvard University, and goes with the American team of athletes to represent-the Harvard Athletic Association at the revival of the Olympian games next month.The greatest feast among the ancient Greeks was the Olympian games, which were celebrated every four years in the city of Olympia. The visitors were crowned with olive wreaths. They became national heroes and could*even be maintained at the public expense. The winners this year will be crowned with solid silver wreaths by the King of Greece and for a time, at least, will be regarded as heroes by their fellow-countrymen.The American team will consist of five men from the Boston Athletic Association. five men from Princeton University, and one man from the Bar-. van! Athletic Association. Mr. Connolly is entered in the running high jump, running broad jump, and running hop, step and jump, In which last event he Is the ex-champion of the world, j The games will continue from April t to ' April 12.On account of his extensive knowledge of things athletic, Mr. Connolly will act as special correspondent for various American newspapers, among the dallies being the Baltimore Sun. the Providence Telegram, the Chicago Times-Hurald, and the Boston Glob^.On his return from the games, he will visit Italy.
