In selecting the candidates for this team, not only their playing ability is considered but also their value as a unit of the whole team. Hatton, of Plainfield, and Ratliff, of Lizton, have played consistently all year for these two champion teams. Both are fast and hard to guard. Shirley, of Amo, and Gilbert, of Clayton, are not far behind them at this position and deserve places on the second team.Pike, of Plainfield, is the unanimous choice for the pivot position of the honor quintette and his defensive and offensive work has been an important cog in Plainfield’s machine.
