SheMer-Globe Beats Colonial; Whitebook’s Nips Stalkfleet’s 56-55Shelter - Globe beat Colonial Inn 49-41 and Moe Whitebook’s rallied in the second half to nipStalkfleet’s 56-55 in a pair of City Men’s League games at the Community Recreation Center Wednesday night.Sheller-Globe led all the way in the opener, holding a 26-22 lead at the half. Bob Panther had 17 points and Bill Kutcher 13 to lead the winners, while Gene Vineyard had 14 points and Carl Davis 12 for Colonial.Stalkfleet’s had a 26-18 lead over Whitebook’s at the half, but couldn’t quite hang on in the closing minutes. Neil Hitchcock had 18 points and Don Rhoades 17 for Stalkfleet’s, while Don Berge had 15 and Harry Venik 14 to lead White-book’s.
