All-Stars Gain Second Round of MeetCHICAGO. Marsh 20 lt;/P) — The Oshkosh All Stars, paced by Forward Leroy (Cowboy) Edwards who bagged 23 points—14 of them in the | third quarter—defeated Detroit 60- j 56 last night to move into the second round of the world professionalbasketball tournament at Chicago Stadium. jThe Edwards scoring burst enabled the All Stars to wipe out the 29-28 lead Detroit claimed at the half.Chicago's American Gears, won the first of three games in the opening round, defeating the Hartford, Conn., Nutmegs. 58-47. The Gears trailed Hartford, 22-21 at the half. Stan Patrick, guard, led the winners with 15 points.
