The Garfield high achool basket ball teams closed the 1929-30 season Thursday, March 13. The boys played the Garfield Alumni a fast one and took them into camp to the tune of 15 to 11. The Garfield girls, assisted by the faculty, played the boys second team a curtain raiser, .but the boys were unable to stop the girls’ afegregatlon, not having played girls' rules very much. 'The final score stood: Girls, 29; boys, 2. Volna Jacobs was high scorer for the boys, with one field goal. Miss Margaret Ford of the Garfield faculty starred for the girls, with thirteen field goals. Raymond Struck was high fouler in the girls’ game, with three personals to hiB account. The Garfield high school boys will open the spring baseball season March 21. They will meet the Cornell sluggers on the Cornell diamond for tneir initial game.mu a! K o-fo /In nlinila
